Potters Poultry Hoop Houses are designed by farmers to be used by farmers. Potters have been building these types of mobile houses for the last 20 years. This has given them the experience to know what buildings will stand the test of time, and which will not. The nesting equipment is matched neatly within these structures. All you will need are simple RV-type hook-ups for electricity and water. A cement pad is optional under your egg room and for your feed bin. Typically, eggs are flatted at the end of these hoop houses and taken to a main cooler. Most farms use a 3-position pasture rotation – all in a row. Birds will remain on one pasture site for a flock cycle. Then, the houses will be dragged using a tractor to their second position, a bit further down the pasture; where they will be cleaned thoroughly and sanitized. After that, the houses are dragged to the third position, even further down the pasture; to where the next flock will remain through their cycle. |
